Guild Rules

RAIDS AND OTHER ACTIVITIES

Guild has to benefit from you, and you have to benefit from the guild. We focus on heroic raids coupled with some mythic raid bosses or even whole raids. We expect everyone to participate on non-progressive parts of raids. If you don't participate on non-progressive (also called farm boss) raids, don't expect an invite for progression raids.

Raid Schedule:
  • Friday (20:00 - 22:00 server time)

  • Tuesday  (20:00 - 22:00 server time)

  • Sunday (20:00 - 22:00 server time)

We expect members to sign in to raids. Accept or decline, whatever works better for you. But choose something. If you accept raid invite, show up in time - 15 minutes before raid start will do.

Raid Invites:
  • 15 minutes before raid start time everyone who has accepted or tentatively accepted the calendar event will be invited

  • 10 minutes before raid start time everyone who has accepted or tentatively accepted it but shows up late will be invited providing there is room in the raid

  • 5 minutes before raid start time rest of the people online will have chance to get in the raid provided there is room for extra players

Raid Behavior:

Do not expect a summon, it is your responsibility to be there in time. If you want to join the raid, know tactics beforehand or you may be told to go back reading and try joining next time. Some additional tactics may be explained in raids, and tactics explained by the raid leader will be followed. If you have questions, express those to raid leader directly.

Keep damage / heal meters to yourself. It is ok to want to know how you perform, but we do take statistics from raids and statistics are generally more liable than addon information. We do not want any important information to be lost in raids among long lists of addon spam.

If we have more people signing up for the raids than there are spots, rolling may be called for to decide who stand out and who stay. We use rotation as well, so if you are asked to step aside from a raid some day, chances are that you will fit in next time.

Guild Raids vs Group Finder Premade Raids:

Fogey guild members can join premade raids in Group Finder tool (and any premade none Fogey guild raids) with the following restrictions:

  • Members can join any type of raids on any difficulty with their ALT characters without restrictions

  • MAIN raider characters in the guild are forbidden to join raids in the LFG tool (and any premade non Fogey organized raids) with the following exceptions:

    • Bosses on the actual difficulty level which were already killed on a Fogey raid during the same week (raid reset)

    • Bosses which were left out on the actual difficulty level during the week due to the extend of the raid lockout

    • Any bosses from previous raid tiers (including lower difficulty levels of the actual tier where the last boss was already defeated by the Guild as a group)

LOOT

Due to the recent changes in BfA we are forced now to use Personal Loot on our raids..

MEMBER RANKS

VETERAN:

Description:

Veterans are the players who have stuck with us through thick and thin. They have proven their loyalty time and again. They are the backbone of Fogey. This rank is special - it offers more benefits than other ranks and the people having the rank will never be demoted nor kicked out of the guild due to inactivity.

Benefits:

  • You will be able to invite people into the guild following the basic guidelines
  • You will be involved in specific guild management activities and decisions
  • You will have advanced forum and voice chat permissions
  • No activity requirement
  • Can see all of the bank tabs
  • Higher daily withdrawal right in guild bank
  • You are allowed to join any raids announced in the calendar (raid invites are done based on the rules described in the "Raids and other activities" section)
  • You are free to roll on any items dropped during a guild raid (looting rules are described in the "Loot" section)
  • You are provided by the highest amount of guild repair money to cover all of your repair costs
  • Flasks and feasts are provided for all raiders free of charge (distribution will be done by the raid leader at the start or during a raid)

RAIDER:

Description:

Raiders are dedicated members of Fogey who do not only want to participate in the social life of Fogey but also to the progress in the new tiers of raid encounters with the guild. This rank offers it's wearer the most benefits from the guild but in return the requirements to keep the rank are also high.

Benefits:

  • You are allowed to join any raids announced in the calendar (raid invites are done based on the rules described in the "Raids and other activities" section)
  • You are free to roll on any items dropped during a guild raid (looting rules are described in the "Loot" section)
  • You are provided by a high amount of guild repair money to cover all of your repair costs
  • Flasks and feasts are provided for all raiders free of charge (distribution will be done by the raid leader at the start or during a raid)

Requirements:

  • You have to participate minimum on 4 raids per month (if someone can't meet this requirement an AFK post has to be made on the forum)
  • You must participate in the social life of the guild and bond with other members, participate in non-raid events. WE DO NOT ACCEPT ANYONE ONLY FOR RAIDING!
  • You need to know your class / spec well and your raid performance has to be on a high level
  • Your gear needs to be fully and properly gemmed and enchanted (you will not get a raid invite if you are missing a proper gem or enchant)
  • Daily visit of the guild forum and web page is required

RECRUIT:

Description:

Recruits are trial members of Fogey who have applied to join the raiding team. The evaluation phase lasts for maximum 1 month and a decision will be announced after the decision has been made. If the recruit has met the expectations during his trial period he will be awarded with the raider rank. If he has failed due to any reason he will be kicked (without further discussion or explanation) or a social spot will be offered for him.

Benefits:

  • Same as the "Raider" rank with the following exceptions:
  • You are provided by a reduced amount of repair money

Requirements:

  • Same as the "Raider" rank

SOCIAL:

Description:

Social members either do not have enough time or they miss class know-how to become a raider. Socials are active participants of non-raid guild events (heroics, scenarios, fun-events...) and guild conversations, "chatting". Socials have less requirements but also less benefits. We do not accept you as a social member if you are not willing to participate in the social life of the guild. To be a friend of a member is not enough to get - and keep - this rank!

Benefits:

  • If you have a decent gear and know-how of your character you are free to join any alt-raids (you won't get invited to main raids announced in the calendar even if raids are short on participants - raids will try to pug some instead)
  • You are provided by a decent amount of guild repair money

Requirements:

  • You have to participate on non-raid guild events and socialize with other guild members (chatting, etc...)
  • Regular visit of the forum and web page is required
  • AFK post on forum is required for longer period of planned inactivity (see Inactive rank below)

INACTIVE:

Description:

Socials and Raiders inactive for more than 1 month will get the rank Inactive if their absence is also stated in an AFK post. The inactive rank lasts for 3 months. If the played does not return to the game within 3 months he will be kicked out from the guild. Based on special conditions officers can make exceptions and allow the inactive state for a longer period of time (for guild founders, respected members with long lasting RL activities).

IMPORTANT: If you do not have an AFK topic to justify the reason why you are inactive you will get a guild kick after a maximum 1 month long inactive period.

GUILD BANK

We use guild bank to support our members. We sell some BoE loot from our raids by a greatly reduced price, and offer raids buff foods for free. Guild also provides flasks for everyone for raids.

BEHAVING

We're socially emphasized guild. We expect everyone to chat with each others, to play the game together with guildies. Everyone represents the guild, everyone is expected to live by that. Any member participating in chidlish, argumentative or unreasonable behavior in any public will receive suitable punishment. We will not tolerate any form of unfair play towards other players. Everyone should respect other guilds and their officers at all times.

ALTS

We don't limit number of characters of our members. If you have alts you want to bring to the guild, feel free to do it.
